Chilliwack RCMP ask for help in finding missing 16-year-old boy

Gia Bao (Charlie) Ly, 16, was last seen on June 8 around 9:30 a.m. in the 45800 block of Wellington Avenue in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 16-year-old boy.

Gia Bao (Charlie) Ly was last seen on June 8 around 9:30 a.m. in the 45800 block of Wellington Avenue in Chilliwack.

RCMP describe him as a 16-year-old Asian boy who is five-foot-three-inches (160 cm) weighing 119 pounds (54 kg). He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes. 

He is known to frequent Abbotsford, Burnaby and Surrey, and police believe he might be travelling on public transit.

"Ly is 16 years old, however, may present as much younger and unable to speak English. It is likely that Ly is travelling on transit," according to RCMP.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Charlie Ly is asked to contact their local police, UFVRD_MEDIA@rcmp-grc.gc.ca or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). RCMP file number 2025-23234.
