• My husband was diagnosed with dementia a couple of years ago, and I want to give buckets of beautiful roses of gratitude to all the people who helped us get through this and helped get him into a wonderful care home.  Shout out (in no particular order) to the RCMP, SPS, Fraser Health, Surrey Senior Centre, Surrey Memorial Hospital N53 ward, our GP and to all my friends and relatives who gave care and compassion and supported me through this painful process.  We are so fortunate to be living here!

• Roses to either the City of Surrey or those individuals that did such a great job at cleaning up all the rubbish that others have so thoughtlessly discarded on their walks or journeys in the parks. Clean up your act, people, and that expense could go towards lower costs elsewhere. It all starts in your own yards, clean up!

• Roses to the city and crews working on improving the walking and driving areas of Crescent Beach. It will be a much safer place to live and visit. It would be nice to have more picnic tables in the park. Fundraising for this project could be arranged.

• Roses to Mayor Locke and councillors who are improving and upgrading areas of Surrey that former mayors neglected.  Thank you to former Mayor Diane Watts who built the new City Hall in the hub of Whalley.

• Rotten tomatoes to the former mayor and residents of Crescent Beach for protesting improvements to the area. Surrey is about to become the largest city in the province. We need to improve old areas of Surrey that former mayors have neglected.
