Surrey's Fusion Festival has won international awards for the second year in a row, earning the 2025 Gala Award for Most Outstanding Spectacle, Fair or Festival from Special Events Magazine and the International Live Events Association Esprit Award for Best Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative.
Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke called this a "powerful reflection of our city’s diverse and dynamic community" and a "testament to the dedication of our organizers and the vibrant spirit of our residents."
The festival will return for its 18th year on July 19-20 at Holland Park in Whalley. This year’s theme is Flavours of the World, featured at more than 50 cultural pavilions.
Entertainment headliners will be Easy Star All-Stars on July 19 and Miss Pooja on July 20. There will be eight stages all told, a family zone, an Indigenous Village and marketplace, cooking worshops and dance-offs.
The fusion festival has won 16 national and international awards to date since it started in 2008.
