Update:

Residents of Cultus Lake and area can use their water and flush toilets as of 4:30 p.m., according to FVRD and Cultus Lake Park officials.

"The Cultus Lake Water & Sewer System sewer main break is now repaired," said Fraser Valley Regional District. "The public is now able to use the water and sewer systems once again. Thank you for your patience during repairs."

Original:

The Fraser Valley Regional District had originally asked Cultus Lake area residents to refrain from using water or flushing, as of Thursday (July 10) afternoon.

"During this time, please refrain from using water or flushing your toilet unless it is an emergency."

"Earlier today the Cultus Lake Water and Sewer System experienced a sewer main break.

"This caused an electrical issue at the water pump house.

"The FVRD will provide updates on social media and our website as they become available. Thank you for your cooperation during this time."
