Grand Forks Fire/Rescue held a fundraising car wash in their main hall on Second Street most of Saturday to help raise funds for the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund. Anyone could pull in and get either a wash, or wash and vacuuming, performed by member firefighters and some of their friends and family. Organizer Ben Hooton, also a Work Experience firefighter member, explained similar events happened in his hometown on Vancouver Island and wanted to bring it back to Grand Forks, which Fire/Rescue brass fully supports.
