Editor,
I am writing to express my objection to the suggested plan to construct a tower on the land at the corner of Johnston Road and Russell Avenue.
A tower on that corner will overwhelm the neighbourhood. Property owners were asked to voice their opinions about White Rock development and clearly do not want any more highrises on the hill north of Thrift Avenue. I and many of my neighbours completed that survey.
I agree with Jim and Susan Lindenberger’s suggestion to extend the existing city hall building instead.
The next civic election will tell you very clearly that you have overstepped your mandate.
