A ceremony celebrating the structural completion of The Landmark's third tower was held Thursday in White Rock, offering an opportunity to peruse the project from a neighbouring penthouse's rooftop patio.
The "topping off" ceremony marks an official end to the structural construction of the final building, the third and final tower in the Foster Martin development — and also, the tallest tower in White Rock.
Speakers from Syncra Construction — including Arthur Christensen, who was also celebrating his birthday — gave credit to the many workers still on site, many of whom were enjoying lunch provided from a food truck, before White Rock Mayor Megan Knight said a few words.
"When I look around and I see all these workers, and what you've done with Landmark Properties, I congratulate you on behalf of the city of White Rock," she said, noting how walkable the neighbourhood is. "Thank you very much for all your hard work and for staying safe."
The topping off of The Landmark signifies the final chapter of a development over a decade in the making — and the vertical completion of a project that will stand for generations, a release noted.
“This milestone is deeply meaningful — not only for our team, but for the entire White Rock community,” said Helen Sun, CEO at Landmark Premiere Properties. “The Landmark represents our commitment to creating enduring spaces, even in the face of adversity.”
Homeowners and businesses can expect to move into the 130-home tower in spring 2026.
