3 RCMP officers needed to arrest suspect in reported Salmon Arm stabbing

A man remains in custody following a reported stabbing in Salmon Arm, where three officers were required to cuff the suspect.

RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at 3rd Street SW a 10:50 a.m. on June 19, where the alleged offender was pointed out to officers by several witnesses on scene. 

"After being told he was under arrest, the man resisted arrest and required three officers to get him into handcuffs," Const. Andrew Hodges said in a media release.

With victim and witness statements, and video surveillance at the scene, the Salmon Arm RCMP had charges approved against Jamison Lynch for one count of aggravated assault, one count assault with a weapon, one count of assaulting a peace officer, and one count of obstructing a peace officer. 

Lynch was held for a bail hearing, at which time he was remanded in custody by the judge.
