A vehicle incident overnight Monday (Jan. 8) closed Highway 1 in both directions between Hope and Boston Bar.
DriveBC reported the closure after heavy snow had been falling in the Fraser Canyon. The highway was closed at about 11 p.m. due to a vehicle incident, and motorists were told an assessment was underway, with an update on the highway expected at 8 a.m.
The incident has closed the highway between Spuzzum Creek and Boston Bar Station Road for 22.4 kilometres, at 18 km north of Yale to 26 kms south of Jackass Mountain Summit.
