On Friday, Oct. 11 the Soup's On program at St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Ashcroft will host a special Thanksgiving Dinner, and all community members are invited to come together in celebration.
Whether you are a regular or it will be your first visit, everyone is welcome to enjoy a delicious meal in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The Soup’s On program has been a cornerstone of community connection in Ashcroft since its inception in January 2009. Every Friday, the church opens its doors to provide by-donation lunches for anyone who wishes to drop by, offering not just a meal, but also a place where neighbours and friends can gather, support one another, and build lasting relationships.
As Thanksgiving approaches, the Soup’s On team is gearing up to ensure the event's success. Your attendance shows appreciation for their hard work! The event starts at 2 p.m., and donations are appreciated. Come on out and celebrate with your community and help make this year’s dinner truly special!
If you are interested in joining a team or volunteering on an occasional basis, please reach out to Maryann at (778) 517-0997 or The Rev. Linda LaGroix at (778) 888-0263. Volunteers make soup and desserts, set up and take down tables, serve food, clean up, and do dishes, and volunteering is a way to make a tangible contribution to our local community.
