Those who prefer taking an active, more sustainable form of transportation to Greater Victoria events are in luck.
Free, secure event bike valet is coming to over 50 events this summer via Capital Bike's The Locker.
Those on bikes, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards or other micromobility devices need only to drop off their ride with friendly staff, receive a claim tag, and enjoy the event knowing their wheels are safe and sound – all at no cost.
The program expands this year due to additional support from the BC Cycling Coalition (BCCC). Grant funding comes from the Ministry of Transportation and Transit and is delivered by BCCC as part of a province-wide initiative to encourage active transportation.
Upcoming July events featuring the article include Sidney Street Market (every Thursday), Victoria Pride Festival (July 6), Saanich Strawberry Festival (July 6), Moss Street Paint-In (July 19) and Esquimalt Eats & Beats (July 26).
