Chemainus grads rock the red carpet

The Chemainus Secondary School Grad Parade gave grads their moment to shine

June 7 was a perfect day for the Chemainus Secondary School grad parade at Waterwheel Park.

Family and friends gathered to wave and cheer for the class of 2025 as they drove past in all manner of vehicles, then posed under the new public art piece, Shq’apthut (Gathering Place), which was unveiled earlier that day.

Grads were escorted down Willow Street in classic cars, convertibles, trucks, motorcycles and even a pony in a parade that showcased their creativity and personality.

A red carpet moment under the archway gave the crowd more chances to cheer as the grads served serious style, sparkle and swagger.

Congratulations to the class of 2025!
