A three-vehicle collision on Highway 1 had traffic backed up in Chilliwack Friday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4:50 p.m. on June 27 in the westbound lanes, just east of the Vedder Canal Bridge.
When crews arrived on scene they stated the crash was "fairly minor" but that there was one woman who was injured.
Traffic both westbound and eastbound was backed up as a result.
Crews with the Chilliwack Fire Department were en route to the same area just minutes before for "multiple calls" of black smoke coming from underneath the bridge. When crews arrived at that location, they initially reported there was no smoke in the area, but later found a pile of garbage burning.
