A gallery in Chilliwack has a new name.

The O’Connor Group Art Gallery has been renamed the Odlum Brown Art Gallery at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

"For over the last decade, the O’Connor Group has been an avid supporter of the arts in Chilliwack through their sponsorship of the art gallery. As their naming of the art gallery comes to an end, we are excited to announce that Odlum Brown will sponsor the art gallery as we launch into our 15th anniversary season," the Chilliwack Arts and Cultural Centre Society announced on June 11.

The society stated their partnership with Odlum Brown will enrich the community through arts.

"Odlum Brown’s support will enhance the centre’s ability to provide accessible, engaging, and meaningful arts experiences for all. Their involvement signals a strong investment in the cultural vitality of Chilliwack and a continued dedication to supporting local communities."

The society extended a "heartfelt gratitude" to the outgoing sponsor.

"Not only have they been in the heart of the building, but they have also continuously shown their support of the arts by additionally sponsoring performances. Their legacy will remain a meaningful chapter in our story, and their contributions have laid a strong foundation for what lies ahead."

The gallery is a 1,478-square-foot space, and home of the Chilliwack Visual Artists Association which presents about 10 exhibitions per year.

On display in the gallery until June 21 is solo show Modern Mythology by Kayla Neufeld Gowans of Agassiz. Up next, the space will be shared by the Fibre Art Network and the Fraser Valley Woodturners Guild as they present their shows from June 25 to July 26.

Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., and before some evening performances at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Admission is free.
