Just like the actual Abbotsford Canucks team, the Abbotsford Canucks team store is putting in some extra work this weekend.
The Abbotsford News has learned that the team store plans to open for special additional hours on Saturday (June 14) and Sunday (June 15).
Hours are set for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The team store is located just inside of Gate 1 at the Abbotsford Centre (33800 King Rd.)
The AHL recently released both Western Conference champion and Calder Cup merchandise for the Abbotsford Canucks, but it's unclear if these items will be available this weekend. They are available to purchase online at ahlstore.com/collections/abbotsford-canucks. Items include hats, pucks, hoodies, t-shirts and Calder Cup patch. Ordering the items online means the items likely won't arrive for several weeks.
This marks a rare occasion that the team store is open outside of game days, as it typically is only during Abbotsford Canucks games.
The Canucks open the Calder Cup Finals series today (June 13) at 4 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers inside the historic Bojangles Coliseum. Game two goes Sunday (June 15) in Charlotte at 1 p.m. The series moves to Abbotsford for games three and four on Tuesday (June 17) and Thursday (June 19). Face-off for those games is set for 7 p.m.
