Motorcycle crash in Abbotsford sends driver to hospital with serious injuries

Collision closed Gladwin Road between Downes Road and Harwood Crescent

A collision between a Toyota Yaris and a Davidson motorcycle in Abbotsford on Sunday (June 15) sent both drivers to hospital.

According to a social media post from the Abbotsford Police Department, the motorcycle driver suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in the crash. 

The incident occurred at roughly 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Gladwin Road and Chilcotin Drive. 

"At this time, impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor in the collision," police said. 

APD said the crash closed Gladwin Road between Downes Road and Harwood Crescent, but it has since reopened to traffic. 

Police say the investigation is in its early stages, with support from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
