Revelstoke car show brings the Chevy to Revy for 15th year

Revelstoke Mountain Paradise Show & Shine revs things up for inaugural dam crossing, weekend street fundraiser

The Chevys of Revy and more than a hundred other vintage and high-styling motor vehicles rolled onto Mackenzie Avenue for Revelstoke's annual car show on Saturday, June 7.

The Revelstoke Mountain Paradise Show & Shine, run for its 15th year by the Revelstoke Vintage Car Club, brought wagon watchers out to enjoy live music, free chips and soda, a prize ceremony for vehicle entries, and the sun's hot glint off 70-year-old car hoods.

Drivers cruised in from as far as Salmon Arm, Golden and Calgary to showcase a lifetime of commitment to restoring and maintaining their prized possessions, following an inaugural mass procession Friday afternoon, June 6, across the Revelstoke Dam.

Through door prizes organized by the Revelstoke Rod & Gun Club, Saturday's show raised roughly $1,500 to support local senior living programs.
