After two days of live music that had crowds crooning and grooving throughout the city, the White Rock Jazz and Blues Festival has wrapped up another successful year.
Held June 13 and 14 on stages in the Five Corners and Uptown business areas, as well as Blue Frog Studios, the festival offered both free and ticketed performances from a host of artists, including Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues Band, Alexander Browne and his Boulevardiers, Colin Sankey and the White Rock Rhythm Kings.
Produced by the White Rock BIA and presented by Re/Max Colonial Pacific, with artist sponsorship by Wave 98.3, other daytime festical performers included Colin Sankey, the Company B Jazz Band, Balkan Shmalkan, Vibetown Trio, Dean Thiessen, Jazz Orchestra of the 49th Parallel, White Rock Rhythm Kings, Ruby Lane Organ Trio, Norine Braun and Rocky Riobo.
