School District 72 received money to make schools within the district more accessible for students and staff with special physical needs.

Superintendent Geoff Manning attended an Eagles Ladies Auxiliary meeting in late June, walking away with a $2,000 donation.

"He spoke compellingly about the great need for a number of upgrades to make the schools in our District more inclusive and accessible to those with special physical needs," said Catherine McKenzie. "He commented about the presentation of scholarships and bursaries at Timberline Secondary School earlier in the evening, where a young woman who is wheelchair-bound crossed the stage, putting on a very human face on the need."
