Free dinner outdoors with live music is available in Blind Bay for volunteers at Music by the Bay.
The annual concert series by the Arts Council for the South Shuswap is in need of more help with set up and take down on Thursdays, with perks thrown in to encourage people to sign up.
Volunteers will get VIP, front-row seating under the tent, as well as a $20 voucher to use at any of the featured food trucks on the field. That includes local favourites like Arma Greek Food, Tsilhqot'in BBQ, Yukon Smash, Lakeside Local, Shuswap Food Service and The Lobster Pot.
Helpers will also get a $5 voucher for the dessert food trucks of Bannock Ladies, Oasis Delights and Lakeside Concession.
The trade-off for those benefits is helping set up two hours before showtime. That includes setting up chairs, tents and general prep to ensure a successful evening. Following the show, volunteers will help put everything away, empty garbage cans, and ensure the field is clean and ready for the next week's performance.
Shifts run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and anyone interested can sign up for whichever nights they're available at volunteersignup.org/L7T3Q. Each night needs four volunteers, and the signup the shows which are full and where they still need help.
