Seaside Cruizers Show and Shine included more than 500 entries

The Seaside Cruizers have unveiled the winners of the numerous awards handed out at the 2025 Show and Shine event.

'Best of Show' went to Kevin Campbell, from Sidney, for his 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, with Tom Whyte's (Victoria) 1933 Ford Roadster as runner up.

There were more than 500 entries to the 2025 Seaside Cruizers Show and Shine Event in Qualicum Beach on June 15, organizers said.

Rob Okerman took home the 'Best Pro Street Machine' award for his 1924 Ford Model T, as well as the Long Distance Award thanks to his trek from Sturgeon County, Alta.

'Best Truck' went to Lyle Coverdale of Qualicum Beach and his 1952 Studebaker Pickup.

Doug Blakey from Lantzville took home the 'Best Street Rod' award for his 1933 Ford Coupe.

Kerry Johal from North Saanich won 'Best Custom' for his 1968 Chevrolet C-10.

These were just a handful of the dozens of awards given out, which ranged from 'Best Convertible' to 'Best Fat Fender'.

The entries ranged from the 1920s to the 2020s, and included hot rods, trucks, vans and a lot more.

The Seaside Cruizers Car Club was formed in 1993 by six local car enthusiasts. For 20 years, the show was held in Craig Bay and Nanoose Bay before moving into downtown Qualicum Beach in 2002.
