Shuswap Middle School French Immersion Grade 8 students are heading to La Belle Province where they'll spend six days between Montreal and Quebec City, taking in French-Canadian history and culture.

Fundraising efforts for the May 24-30 field trip recently received a big boost in the form of a $2,000 donation from the Shuswap Rotary Club, presented by Rotarian Caleb Espinoza.

At its Dec. 17, 2024 meeting, the School District 83 board approved the trip, which will be the 12th Quebec field trip experienced by Grade 8 French immersion students at the school.
