The Vernon Vipers announced Saturday that rookie forward Koji Gibson has committed to play hockey at Northern Michigan University in Division 1 of the NCAA.
“As an organization, we are proud and thrilled for Koji’s commitment to Northern Michigan University,” said Vipers head coach Lukas Lomicky. “Koji is a dedicated and extremely hard-working kid, and this is just another step towards his ultimate goal. In the meantime, we look forward to working with him to help him be ready for that step when the time comes.”
