• Roses to Surrey residents who take the time to vote. In the U.S.A., 90 million people did not vote, and look what has happened. Listen and choose carefully.
• Roses to the mayor and councillors for upgrades on our roads. Hopefully, there is enough money to finish old subdivisions with missing sidewalks and unfinished roads.
• Roses to Chuck Bailey staff and the instructors who teach fitness classes to seniors. To the cooks and volunteers who make and serve excellent homemade meals and baked goods at a reasonable price. Many of us seniors who attend Chuck Bailey have never had a safety issue in and around Chuck Bailey.
• Roses to the Hazelwood Lifelabs location. The staff are diligent and above all kind. It is an easy place for me to walk to in my neighbourhood so that I don’t have to take a bus a taxi for a far distance. Thank you for taking care of me.
• A whole load of rotten tomatoes to Surrey's Parks, Recreation, and Culture department, particularly those in natural areas management, for allowing the destruction of large areas of trees near Quibble Creek. Despite the vital role these habitats play for wildlife, trees continue to be cleared at an alarming rate. The city's failure to protect these spaces is a blatant disregard for the environment and wildlife.
• Rotten tomatoes to the gasoline oligarchs who didn't adjust the price of gas at all despite the carbon tax being removed. Such blatant gouging! Where are our politicians!? How are we allowing this?
