LETTER: YYJ parking contract flies in the face of national pride

Robbins Parking loses Victoria airport contract after 41 years

I certainly hope you are being deluged by readers about your article on Victoria International Airport (YYJ) awarding the parking contract to an American company.  In these times, it's utterly ridiculous.

Now, travellers using YYJ to fly somewhere other than the U.S.A. can at least find comfort in knowing that they are still supporting the country that wants to annex us.

Cancel the contract, pay the penalty and award the work to a Canadian firm. Competitive bids cannot be a determinant in these times. Or are we to take a lesson from this and, for example, not bother denying ourselves the celery from California we've been boycotting. Those responsible at YYJ should be ashamed of themselves not standing up for Canada.
