Chilliwack firefighters responded to a fire at a metal recycling yard on Aitken Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Thick, black smoke was visible from the location reported to be Goodie’s Trading (a.k.a. Goodies Recycling), a scrap metal recycler on May 2.
RCMP blocked the road to traffic as firefighters had hoses across the street wile fighting the blaze.
About an hour and a half later, at 4:49 p.m., firefighters on scene reported that the fire was out.
