The Nanaimo Timbermen will have to turn things around so they don’t fall too far behind in the Western Lacrosse Association standings.

The senior A lacrosse team fell to 0-4 with two losses this past weekend, including a 9-6 setback against the Victoria Shamrocks in Nanaimo’s home opener Saturday, May 31, at Frank Crane Arena.

Luke Pilcher and Ryan Sheridan each scored twice in that game and Colby Bowman made 49 saves in defeat.

The next night on the road, the Timbermen lost 12-11 in overtime against the Maple Ridge Burrards. Sheridan led the way with four goals for Nanaimo, Colton Lidstone had two goals and three assists and Pilcher and Thomas Vaesen scored two goals each. Bowman made 45 saves.

GAME ON … The Timbermen play just one game this coming weekend, as the Burnaby Lakers visit Frank Crane for a 5 p.m. game on Sunday, June 8.
