The installation of storm infrastructure will cause some minor traffic delays in Vernon on Friday.
Starting as early as 7 a.m. June 13, a portion of 25th Street between 39th and 43rd avenues will be closed to through traffic as shown on the map in the above photo gallery.
Local traffic will still be able to get through to businesses and homes in the area.
Work is expected to wrap up by 5 p.m., though the city said in a press release the timeline could change if emergencies arise.
"Some delays should be expected for motorists in the area, however, every effort will be made to minimize disruptions," the city said.
Drivers are asked to heed traffic control signage and slow down in the area for the safety of workers and the public.
"The city apologizes for any inconvenience this disruption may cause and appreciates everyone’s patience while the work is being completed," the release states.
Currently 42nd Avenue is dug up as crews install new water lines. Residents in that area will also be without water Friday.
