A pedestrian was struck by a semi-truck Thursday morning (June 26) on Enterprise Way in Kelowna.
The incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. between Cary Road and Commerce Avenue.
Kelowna firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene and provided immediate medical assistance to the individual. The extent of the person’s injuries has not yet been confirmed. They were taken to Kelowna General Hospital.
A damaged e-scooter was also found at the scene, though it remains unclear whether the individual had been riding it at the time of the collision.
Emergency crews closed part of Enterprise Way briefly while responding to the incident.
