Assault (1)

On Sept. 26, a man in Lytton contacted the RCMP to report that he had been punched in the face by his brother a week earlier. The man believed that his brother was suffering from mental health-related issues, and reached out to family for support. No charges or further action were sought, but the report was documented as requested by the complainant.

Terry Fox/Truth and Reconciliation run

On Sept. 27, Lillooet RCMP members and a Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police member joined students from Cayoosh Elementary School, George Murray Elementary School, and Lillooet Secondary School in the Truth and Reconciliation Day/Terry Fox run through Lillooet.

Stolen trailer

On Oct. 4, a caller reported that his 2015 Forest River bumper-pull travel trailer had been stolen from his driveway off Airport Road in Lillooet just after midnight on Oct. 4. The matter is still under investigation, and anyone who has any information regarding the incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP (250-256-4244) and reference Lillooet-Lytton RCMP file 2024-2210.

Assault (2)

On Oct. 4, the BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) requested police assistance in attending a residence in Lytton to check on a man. Lytton RCMP members accompanied BCAS personnel to the house, where they located a mother and son who were both intoxicated, and who had incurred injuries after a dispute between them over who owned the alcohol.

The mother did not seek charges, but the son, as the aggressor, was arrested for assault and transported to Lillooet cells, where he was released when he had sobered up. The matter is still under investigation.
