Lillooet-Lytton RCMP are looking for information about this trailer, which someone who was not the trailer's owner was trying to sell in July.

Between July 11 and Aug. 12, RCMP in Lillooet and Lytton responded to 301 calls for service.

Break and enter

On July 12, a staff member at a medical clinic in Lillooet reported a break and enter that took place at some point between the evening of July 11 and the early hours of July 12. Three Dell laptops and $650 in cash were taken. There was no video surveillance at the clinic, but a camera from a neighbouring business was checked, and showed two people dressed in dark clothing in the area. The matter was documented, but there have been no further leads. (File number 2024-1434)

Uttering threats

At 11:52 p.m. on July 16, a caller reported that he had approached the driver of a semi-truck that was idling in a no-idling zone in Lytton. When the caller confronted the driver, the driver threatened him, but no specific threats were mentioned. The licence plate provided for the suspect was not registered to a vehicle, and the caller was unable to provide a description of the suspect. (File number 2024-1471)

Suspicious behaviour

On July 23, a caller reported a suspicious occurrence: a man was trying to sell someone’s trailer in the Bralorne community of Lillooet. The owner of the trailer lives outside the community of Lillooet, and was not selling the trailer. Anyone who has seen the trailer — which is of interest to the police — or has information about it is asked to call Lillooet RCMP at (250) 256-4244. (File number 2024-1531)

Mental health act

On July 28, a caller reported that a man was trying to hurt himself at an abandoned home near Lytton. The man had cut his wrist and hit his head against a window.

RCMP members were able to locate the abandoned home, where the man was actively trying to break things inside. The man was arrested for causing a disturbance and assessed by BC Ambulance Service paramedics, who advised that he was in a condition to be transported to a police cell. He was taken to Lillooet cells until he was sober, at which time the man’s mental health was assessed. As he was not thinking of harming himself or others, he was transported back to Lytton to be in the care of his family. (File number 2024-1560)

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

At 10:52 a.m. on Aug. 4, police received a report of a motor vehicle colliding with a cyclist on Highway 12 in Lytton. RCMP members attended the scene and spoke with the driver, while the cyclist was airlifted by helicopter and transported to a Vancouver hospital. An RCMP Collision Reconstruction Analyst attended the scene, and the matter is still under investigation. (File number 2024-1622)
