Harvey Avenue (Highway 97) at Burtch Road in Kelowna was closed for several hours Saturday following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred just after 4:30 p.m.
According to Const. Michael Della-Paolera, due to the severity of the incident, westbound traffic on Harvey Avenue had to be diverted while emergency crews were on the scene.
Traffic was heavily impacted due to the crash.
Burtch and Harvey reopened in both directions just before 2 a.m.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or those who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to please contact the Kelowna RCMP non-emergency number at 250-762-3300.
It’s unclear what caused the crash or how many people may have been injured in the incident.
