The cause of a crash that closed Highway 97A in Enderby Tuesday remains under investigation.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a report at approximately 5 p.m. Aug. 13 that a car had collided with a power pole north of Enderby.

"The investigation determined the vehicle, a small Honda CRV, was travelling southbound on Highway 97A when it suddenly veered across the northbound lane and collided with a hydro pole knocking the utility lines to the ground," said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer. "The driver was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and the road was closed for several hours to allow crews to safely conduct repairs to the infrastructure."

Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
