Charges have been laid in a 2022 shooting death of a 33-year-old man in South Surrey.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced Wednesday (Nov. 8) that Bryce Dallas Campbell has been charged with in relation to the April 6, 2022 fatal shooting of David Goldstein near Peninsula Village in South Surrey.

Surrey RCMP responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the 15200-block of 24 Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. that morning, where they located an injured Goldstein.

He later died from his wounds.

“Following a lengthy and extensive investigation,” on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, the BC Prosecution Services laid 1st degree murder charges against Campbell for the shooting death of Goldstein, IHIT Staff Sgt. David Lee told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2023).

Campbell, who Lee confirmed is known to police, is currently in custody in connection to an incident, in which two people were killed an another injured in a shooting at South Surrey Athletic Park in July, 2022.

In that case, police received reports of a shooting at South Surrey Athletic Park at 2:45 p.m. on July 30, 2022.

When first responders arrived on scene, they found three people all suffering from gunshot wounds, in “what was believed to be a targeted incident,” Lee said.

Two of the gunshot wound victims died, and Campbell was charged on Aug. 22, 2022, with two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of Jordan Krishna and Robeen Soreni, and with the attempted murder of Harbir Khosa, who survived after being shot.

As both matters are before the courts, Lee said he could not release any further information.
