Residents of Westshore Estates can put away their pots and kettles—boiling water is no longer required.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has lifted the boil water notice for the Westshore Estates water system, located in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area. The notice had been in place since April 11, after spring runoff (freshet) caused high turbidity and increased algae levels in the water.

Recent tests show the water is now safe to drink and meets all Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines.

More details are available on the RDCO website, by email the RDCO engineering team at engineer@rdco.com, or by calling 250-469-6241.

Residents can also sign up for email alerts.
