Boil water advisory lifted following flooding in Vernon

The RDNO and Interior Health lifted the advisory, saying disinfection levels are within normal drinking water standards

A boil water notice has been rescinded for residents in the Okanagan Landing Road and Tronson Road areas of Vernon following a flooding incident that took place Tuesday, July 2.

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) and Interior Health lifted the notice Friday following repairs this week, after a pipe burst and flooded a home near Marshall Field Tuesday.

"Bacterial testing results and disinfection levels are within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system," the RDNO said.

Questions can be directed to the RDNO utilities department at 250-550-3700.
