Ashcroft pool opening
Thanks to intensive recruiting efforts by village staff, Ashcroft has secured enough lifeguards to ensure that the pool will be open this summer, albeit with a later than normal opening date. There is also a possibility that the hours of operation will be slightly restricted once the pool opens, but staff are working hard to make sure that there are as few disruptions as possible.
Opening day is expected to be somewhere between June 1 and June 15; stay tuned for more details. The village is also encouraging anyone interested in becoming a lifeguard to be in touch, as financial assistance is available for people who need to get training and certifications. Call Kris at (250) 453-9161 if you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, if not for this year then for the 2025 season.
