Spring is here, and the Ashcroft-Cache Creek Seniors are ready and waiting for a walking club to get going. Some have already got their legs moving along the roadways and paths of Ashcroft, so come out on Tuesdays to the centre at 601 Bancroft Street and find a group to walk with.

We are open from noon to 4 p.m. and would love to get this going as soon as possible. It might be a nice way to meet and mingle with others.

We also have card games at the centre, and tea and coffee are served every day when we are open, Monday to Saturday. We have recently started a drop-in cribbage group on Thursdays starting at 1 p.m. for every level of player, beginner to expert. If you don’t know how to play but want to learn, someone will teach you.

A spring tea is coming up, so watch for news of the date and time and please come out for that. It’s open to all and is always a fun day, and we will be setting the date soon.

Our centre is open every day except Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. offering a variety of activities, and anyone aged 55+ is welcome. We are in the village office building at the top of the stairs; turn right. Bev and Muriel are our welcoming committee.

We hope to see you soon!
