The Ann Davis Transition Society is ready to present its 9th Annual Drive-Thru Breakfast Fundraiser on June 20 at Elements Casino in Chilliwack.
The popular community event features a tasty breakfast, and the chance to win prizes, all in support of a worthy cause.
“We’re eager to share this morning with everyone, and are excited about the generosity and spirit that this event always brings out in our community,” said Courtney Ukrainetz, acting executive director at Ann Davis.
Organizers are hoping to welcome hundreds of visitors into their drive-thru event, blowing away their total of 215 visitors in 2023.
Breakfast will served from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. by members of the Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society, and officers from RCMP community policing will help ensure a smooth flow of traffic at the site.
Anyone donating more than $10 will receive a breakfast featuring fresh muffins or donuts, coffee, tea, or juice, and fruit, and a donation of more than $20 makes the donor eligible for a tax receipt.
The first 150 people to arrive receive extra coupons in their bag.
Donations of more than $15 automatically enters donors into the prize draw. Prizes include a $300 Best Buy gift card, a professional haircut at Michaels on Main, and lunch for two at Whitespot.
All funds raised will support the dynamic range of services offered by the Ann Davis Transition Society, including counselling, housing support, and legal aid, and more.
Last year, the community’s support helped ADTS make a difference in the lives of more than 15,000 people, including women and children fleeing family violence. For more than 40 years, the Ann Davis Transition Society has been dedicated to supporting individuals and families in crisis from abuse or violence, and providing them with the necessary resources to rebuild their lives.
Their commitment is to offer a continuum of services aimed at safety, inclusion, and stability.
