Agassiz RCMP investigates after 2 pit bulls attack man

Victim required more than 50 stitches

Agassiz RCMP are investigating after two pit bulls attacked a man on Mother's Day weekend.

The Agassiz RCMP are investigating after a man was reportedly attacked by two pit bulls in the Hemlock Valley area northwest of Agassiz over the Mother's Day weekend. 

The attack took place on Hemlock Valley Road near the Sasquatch Mountain Resort on the morning of Sunday, May 11. The victim was able to call 9-1-1 and stayed on the phone until the ambulance arrived. Paramedics found him laying on the side of the road obscured by a bush. The owners of the dogs had reportedly left the man at the scene, taking the dogs with them. 

The victim is recovering but needed 50 stitches on his left arm and two more on his right arm.
