Canadian comedy veteran Patrick Maliha – alongside a roster of rising stand-up talent – will be the headliner when Yuk Yuk’s Media wraps its White Rock Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Spectacle season with two performances, Saturday, May 31.

The shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., at the Oceana PARC Playhouse (1532 Johnston Rd.).

Noted for his high-energy stage presence, rapport with crowds and a knack for uncanny impressions, the Vancouver-based Maliha is well known from frequent appearances on CBC and CTV comedy shows, and has performed all over North America.

“I’m so excited to be part of this final show of the season,” he said.

“The Oceana PARC Playhouse is an intimate venue, and sharing the stage with this crew of B.C.-based comics, right in their own backyard, is going to make for a truly electric night.

“I promise White Rock we’re not holding anything back.”

Host for the evening is Chilliwack’s Cliff Prang, celebrated for his feel-good, parent humour and improv chops.

Also featured will be two rising stars: Langley’s Steve McGowan, known for his down-to-earth, observational comedy, and White Rock’s Randii Andii, who specializes in fierce, fearless, and funny musical stories.

“This is the kind of show we love putting together,” said Yuk Yuk’s Media producer Eric Lapointe.

“Local stars, a veteran headliner, and a room full of people ready to laugh. White Rock has been an amazing audience for us this year, and we’re sending it off in style.”

Tickets ($33, including service fees) are available from whiterockplayers.ca/wryukyuks
