There is almost universal condemnation of Trump on this side of the border, but sometimes you do stumble upon a letter from a supporter. A code phrase gives them away, like "Trump Derangement Syndrome." This is meant to imply his policies are rational and reasonable, and it’s his critics who have mental health issues, his preposterous incoherent babbling and spiteful revenge-motivated policies notwithstanding.

That such a vile, vindictive, ignorant and frankly dangerous old man can continue to inspire loyalty among people who otherwise appear perfectly normal, leads one to believe that some kind of cult mentality is at work. Call it Trump Derangement.
