The 100 Mile House RCMP found drug paraphernalia and contraband cigarettes in a vehicle that rolled into a ditch on Watch Lake Road as part of the 95 calls to service they received between April 22 and 29.
Sgt. Brian Lamb said the rollover was reported to the RCMP on April 28. The vehicle rolled into the ditch near the Watch Lake Transfer Station. After attending, the RCMP did not locate anyone near the vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a brown Toyota Previa, which was last insured in 1997, Lamb said. RCMP also fund drug paraphernalia as well as contraband cigarettes in the vehicle and seized them.
Lamb said RCMP believe there may have been a male associated with the vehicle observed walking from the area of the crash.
B.C. Highway Patrol stop man for multiple motor vehicle act violations
On April 27, B.C. Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle for various motor vehicle act violations on Highway 97 near Exeter Station Road.
RCMP spoke with the driver and determined he did not have a valid driver's license and he had also been prohibited from driving, Lamb said RCMP arrested the driver and subsequently released him to attend court at a later date.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver was served with violation tickets, as well as served a 24-hour suspension for drug use.
Break and enter on Caverly Road
On April 24, RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter to a residence on Caverly Road.
A residence on the property had been entered, as well as a shed. Lamb said they do not know what was taken at this time, and it is unknown when the incident occurred.
Abandoned vehicle stolen from Kamloops
On April 28, RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle on the 1693 Forest Service Road near Timothy Lake Road. After attending, the RCMP located a grey 1997 Mazda pickup, which they determined had been stolen from Kamloops. The vehicle was later towed from the area.
Vehicle keyed in Cariboo Mall parking lot
Also on April 28, RCMP responded to a report of mischief to a vehicle in the parking lot of the Cariboo Mall. The vehicle, which had been parked at the location, was keyed, causing significant paint damage. RCMP believe the incident occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 28.
