Raga Echoes: Live Unbound
Catch this live production at Bell Performing Arts Centre, Surrey, on Saturday, July 19. The performance celebrates South Asian music with a local twist, performed by talented artists from right here in Surrey. "From soulful Sufi melodies to high-energy Bollywood, and Punjabi tunes, this one-night-only show is a celebration of love, nostalgia, and connection, brought to life through powerful voices, live instruments, and cinematic visuals," according to event promo. Comedy: Udta Punjabi
Catch Pritish Narula at Surrey's Bell Performing Arts Centre with “Udta Punjabi” on July 18. The beloved Indian stand-up comedian is on a North American tour, treating audiences to what's billed as a "fast-paced, high-energy comedy experience that blends Punjabi spice, Canadian awkwardness, and just the right amount of emotional damage (in a funny way, of course)." Surrey Fusion Festival
Surrey Fusion Festival returns to Holland Park on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20. Free admission. Presented by Coast Capital, the 18th annual festival is a vibrant hub of food, music and culture. Headlining are internationally renowned reggae group, Easy Star All-Stars, and South Asian music icon, Miss Pooja. Additional feature performers include Geeta Zaildar, AHI, and Josh Bogert. Whistle Podu Dance Competition
You can experience the Whistle Podu Dance Competition 2025 at Bell Performing Arts Centre (6250 144 St.) on July 26. The event is billed as "an exhilarating celebration of Indian Cinematic Dance," presented by Mazhathulli in association with Malayalee Association BC. "This high-energy dance competition will bring together top crews from across Canada for an unforgettable showdown on stage. Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club

Surrey Muse
Surrey Muse: Interdisciplinary art and literature presentation group meets monthly on fourth Saturdays (1-4 p.m., City Centre Library, 10350 University Dr. Surrey). Gatherings feature an author, a poet and an artist/performer at varying levels of artistic development, followed by an open mic session. Surrey Latin Festival
Surrey Latin Festival returns to Surrey Civic Plaza on Aug. 9-10. The free event celebrates Latin American culture, with a variety of Latin American cultural activities, including music, dance, food, and art. "Organized by the Canadian Women and Art Society, SLF is not just a festival—it’s a movement that fosters social inclusion, gender equity, and cultural empowerment," says promo about the festival. Surrey UrbanScreen
Experience the Surrey UrbanScreen outdoor digital art gallery at the Surrey City Centre Library building facing Surrey Civic Plaza, 10350 University Dr. Exhibition begins 30 minutes after sunset and ends at midnight, free admission. Info: surrey.ca/urbanscreen. To July 29: "Refracted Fields" presents a kaleidoscopic visual poem about the landscapes of British Columbia.
Museum of Surrey
You can find the Museum of Surrey at 17710 56A Ave., Cloverdale and discover why it's billed as "your free local venue for wonder, dialogue and fun for the whole family." Take in the Ocean Bound exhibit, running to Sept. 7, exploring how our actions on land impact aquatic life and ocean health in an interactive and family-friendly way.
