A halftime concert by Jazzy B will pump up the crowd at Langley Events Centre on Friday, June 20, during a second South Asian Celebration Game hosted by Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).
The Punjab-born, Surrey-raised singer and actor, long ago dubbed the “Crown Prince of Bhangra,” will be in the arena when the Bandits play Winnipeg Sea Bears, 7 p.m. tip-off.
The night is hyped as an "exciting celebration of music, sport and culture" by the pro-league Bandits. Tickets are sold for $15 and up on thebandits.ca (admission to Jazzy B's concert and game are combined).
The Bandits have jumped out to a strong start this CEBL season, with seven wins in their first eight games, prior to a home game Saturday night (June 14) against Montreal Alliance.
Jazzy B was nominated for a JUNO Award in Vancouver last March, when he performed with Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga during the show at Rogers Arena.
