Armstrong MetalFest returns for 15th year of mountain moshing

Hassen Arena will once again play host to the largest Metal music festival in the province

Calling all headbangers, thrashers and metalheads.

The Armstrong Metalfest annual event is back in 2025, for its 15th year.

Headliners this year are Born of Osiris, Havok, Glyph, Riot City and The Browning.

“This year’s festival is a work of art, and I can’t believe we are on our 15th year already," said co-founder and general manager Jessie Valstar. "Time flies when you’re setting up a festival full of crushing riffs, soaring vocals and downright nasty beats. Life rules, bring on the summer."

The festival will take place Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 from Armstrong's Hassen Arena.

In addition to the music, Yeti Games, a Metal Madness Market and Thrash wrestling will also entertain attendees.

Among the numerous bands performing are a few from the Okanagan, Nomad, Naitaka, FloodGate and Planetkiller.

“I’m really excited about the diversity of this year’s line-up," said the president of the West Metal Entertainment Society's Kate Kuzner. "The selection team has really put in the work. There’s sure to be something for everyone: a great mix of trusted favourites and new additions to your playlist for the rest of the year."

Tickets can be purchased at armstrongmetalfest.ca
