This, the spirit of Christmas,
that forever and ever endures:
May it leave its richest blessing
In the hearts of you and yours.

My Christmas wish for the world:
P People have not learned from the mistakes of past wars and conflicts. What will it take?
E Each of us must treat others with more love and kindness, not just at Christmas but every day.
A All of us together can have a huge impact on our world. We must find in our hearts the will to live peacefully with our families, friends, neighbours, and countrymen.
C Can we communicate and respond to others with our prayers and support?
E Everywhere, everyone must try to reach out to those in need: to house, to feed, to educate, to help heal, to survive.
This is a pathway towards peace in our world.
The Clinton Seniors’ Association Marketplace on Nov. 4 was a huge success. The Peel ’n’ Pay Raffle prize was won by Joe Hampton, who generously gifted it back to the seniors. Thank you Joe, for your thoughtfulness. Rob Reaugh of Ashcroft won the door prize, Bernice Weihs-Anderson was the recipient of the Merchant Appreciation prize, and although it was Madelyn Harrison who signed the book, I think it was her partner who made the winning guess for the basket of food!
Your support was very much appreciated. Thank you!
On Nov. 16 the seniors had their AGM. The officers and directors for 2024 are Gloria Ferguson (chairperson); Heather Henri (vice-chairperson); Yvette May (secretary-treasurer); Isabel Haining, Jim Johnson, Robynn Maher, and Yvette May (directors), and Isabel Haining, Jim Johnson, and Ross Tapping (Villa board directors).
Thank you to the members who served in 2023 and to those members who will continue offering their time and hard work in 2024. We were pleased to welcome three new members this fall. Come and join us!
By invitation, the Clinton Seniors will have their annual Christmas dinner party on Dec. 14 in the Legion basement.
There are no member birthdays to celebrate in December.
