Update to 47 Mile Sports Complex schedule
The 47 Mile Sports Complex will be open Wednesday through Sunday this season (closed Monday and Tuesday). Public skating is available Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m., Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 6 to 7 p.m.
“Sticks & Pucks” will take place Wednesdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Fridays from 3 to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 4 to 7:30 p.m. For youth and men’s hockey schedules, visit the Village of Clinton’s website at https://www.village.clinton.bc.ca/.
PAC auction reminder
A reminder that David Stoddart School’s 26th annual PAC dinner and live auction will be held on Saturday, November 25 at the Clinton Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. and tickets must be purchased by November 24, as they will not be available at the door.
Dinner will be Mexican, and residents will recognize local talent Russell Allison, who will be the auctioneer for the evening. Some of the items available for auction include a Samsung Galaxy tablet and a 55-inch smart TV. Tickets for the event are $20 each and can be purchased at Integris Insurance, the Country Squire Gift Shop, Home Hardware, or David Stoddart School.
Village Christmas banquets
The Living Waters Christian Fellowship will host their annual Christmas banquet on Saturday, December 2 at 6 p.m., with good eats, carolling, and lots of fun.
The Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle will also host a community Christmas banquet on Saturday, December 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Clinton Memorial Hall. A complimentary Christmas dinner will be served, along with music and a message. There will also be a silent auction again this year at the banquet, to help raise funds for the Kids Rock Camp hosted by Nick and Tara Astle each summer.
Children’s Community Christmas party
The Children’s Community Christmas party will be held on Sunday, December 3 in the Legion basement from 1 to 3 p.m. Sign-up sheets can be found at the Legion, the Village Office, the Post Office, and Integris Credit Union.
Bus schedule
A reminder that the YCS Community Bus now offers services between Ashcroft, Clinton, and 100 Mile House. On the first Monday of the month, the Transit Bus will leave Clinton at 9:45 a.m. for 100 Mile House, and will leave Save-On-Foods in 100 Mile House at 3:15 p.m., returning to Clinton by 4:15 p.m. A full bus schedule can be found on the village website at https://www.village.clinton.bc.ca/.
