PHOTOS: Inaugural book festival connects Chilliwack authors and readers

1-day event filled atrium at UFV in Chilliwack

The inaugural Chilliwack Book Festival was held Saturday, May 10 in the atrium at the Chilliwack UFV campus. 

Hundreds of book lovers took in the event, which was created by Kenny Hawkins, owner of The Owl and Cat Bookery in Garrison Village. Hawkins had invited about two dozen authors, most of who are from Chilliwack. 

Authors include Stacey Chomiak, Leah Kelley, Glenda Toews, Lorna Carleton, Heather Shtuka, Felicity Talisman and Margaret Franz, among others.
