A fundraiser puzzle sale to raise money for the Chilliwack Salvation Army food bank is returning this fall.

Founder and organizer Steve Klassen is now looking for donations of puzzles for the second annual Chilliwack Puzzle Sale.

“My hope is that people who purchased puzzles last year will donate,” he said, adding that he’s hoping to get puzzles back from the inaugural 2023 sale to sell again this year.

He's accepting any kinds of puzzles.

There are two drop-off locations for donations: GP Home Furniture (44680 Yale Rd. W.) during business hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday; and 46173 Stevenson Rd., seven days a week during daytime hours.

There will be a bin out front of the Stevenson Road location, and also a container near the front awning at GP Home Furniture.

Last year, more than 2,800 puzzles were donated (2,200 of which sold) and just over $10,000 was brought in for the food bank.

“Everything worked very smoothly," he said last year, following the sale. "Our volunteers were incredible, everything was positive, the community really responded.”

His goal is to raise the same amount this year.

Anyone interested in volunteering, and those who have collected a large amount of puzzles from neighbours and would like them picked up, can contact Steve Klassen at 604-798-3013.

There is no firm date yet for the sale, but it will take place around the end of October or early November.
